About Great Dane

There is no doubt that Great Dane are originally from Germany, though that huge dogs, heavy in stature, were to be found in Tibet. Fighting dogs of Allans, the Scythian tribe, which invaded in the 5th century A.D. in Gaul, Spain & Roman Empire, might be the ancestors of the present-day Great Danes. In Middle Ages these large, sturdy, strong-jawed dogs, had been widely known and were renowned for their courage, stamina and hunting prowess. Originally hunting dogs with time became flock guardians. In 1988 in Germany it was founded Great Dane Club & was approved the first standard of this breed.

Great Dane is vigilant & reliable guardian, distrustful of strangers. It is not easy to drive him out of his wits; he gets on well with the other animals.

Present-day Great Dane is the biggest dog, in which strength goes with elegance.

People, who once kept Great Dane rarely betray this breed, in spite of its hard growing & maintenance. Because when communicating with Great Dane you understand that Great Dane is more than just a dog! Great Dane is a friend who loves you without any limits, who is ready at any moment to listen to you & to understand you. Great Dane is an eternal child, & when he feels your kind, love & care, he is grateful for all his life. They are ready to give you there loving hearts at any time you need it. People say not without reason that only Great Dane can defend master till the last drop of blood.
